| What
is a Call Override Facility | |
|
Override
services are available to fixed line phones in Australia enabling you to use a
different service provider to take selected calls. Once enabled, if you
dial the override code before the phone number, that call will be billed by
your override service provider.
Getting an override facility does not require any additional equipment and
does not change anything in your phone line. This is not pre-selection for
long distance calls.

Telcotel provides an override facility to most fixed line phones in Sydney, Melbourne and
Canberra that lets you take calls to Sri Lanka at a very
economical rate - as low as 15.38 cents a minute to Sri Lanka Telecom phone lines
and 18.18 cents a minute to all other numbers. You can call any country in
the world and rates to some destinations are as low as 4 cents a
minute.
Note: The rates have been temporarily increased to 15.38 and 18.18 to deal with extreme
drop in Australian Currency and will changed back to the original rate of 13.3
and 16.6 when possible.
