Key benefits using the 1428 Call Override Facility
You don't pay Local Call Charges

If you are using phone cards, you are charged for a local call by your phone service provider every time you dial the phone card provider's access number. Providers have access numbers in capital cities or a nationwide 1300 number. You pay for a local call every time you dial. Further, if you are living out of the metropolitan area, you may have to pay for a long distance call. E.g. in NSW, if you are in Penrith and dial a Sydney access number, you will be billed for a long distance call.

You are billed per second

Calls to Sri Lanka are billed per second. Hence you will be charged exactly for the number of seconds you speak. Not by the minute.

No pin numbers to remember

The service does not require you to remember a pin number as in phone cards. However, you will need to remember one password if you require to access your account online. Again, this password is something that you can select and you can remember. Ofcourse you have to remember to dial 1428!

You don't pay a connection charge

You don't have to pay a connection charge for every call like some phone cards charge.

You don't pay any joining fees or be locked into a contract.

The facility is free to obtain and you do not have to sign a contract. You only sign saying you want the facility and you don't pay anything if you don't use it.

Re-charge your account on-line, through the call center or setup an auto top-up rule

You can either recharge your account using a nominated credit card yourself on-line or by calling the 24 hour call center. You can also set-up an auto top-up rule so that your account is recharged by a specific amount every time the balance drops below a specific value.  This means you don't have to worry about paying phone bills or buying phone cards.

See detailed call records on-line

You can see your call records on-line by accessing the callceylon website. You can see each call you take, the number, time, duration and how much you were charged.

You can specify a monthly spend limit

If you want, your top-up rule can be setup in a way that your credit card will be charged on a specific date every month by a specified value. This means you wont overspend on calls.
